There has been a second fatality this year at popular inland, UK diving spot Stoney Cove.

Police have yet to name the diver, who was reported to have been diving but not taking part in a diving course. The alarm was raised at approximately 1:35pm on April 16th when the man was reported missing to dive staff at Stoney Cove. The diver was found unconcious underwater and brought up by staff and given CPR, which failed to revive the victim.

An ambulance took the victim to Leicester Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead. There have been 25 recorded deaths at Stoney Cove since it opened in 1978.
