I took this picture in Key Largo Florida 2 weeks ago.

As I looked through my pictures I came across this shot with some kind of life form I did not notice when the pictures was taken.

Can anyone tell me what the red animal is?

I can't see the picture you've posted. Can you provide a link to it or try and upload it again?

The original picture file was too large.

Not sure what it is, but looks cool.

If you upload to flickr or photobucket (free) you can link the image in so we can see a larger version.

Where abouts was the picture taken? may help us ID it for you.

I opened an account on Flickr under the name komodoscuba.

My photo is called Redthing and its 5.7 MB.

The picture was taken in Key Largo Florida. The dive site is called “The Benwood Shipwreck”.

Thank you for the interest.

I've not been able to identify it myself, but if you give me permission I will post it on another site where I know there are people that specialise in identifiying things like this..

Is it possible to let me know which web site you found the

information? It looks like a site I can use for other research.

I don't want to start linking other forums here, but here are a couple of critter specific sites that will help you ID stuff..

Fish
More fish

Nudi

Bit of everything

Biggest thing that was stopping me ID your pic was that I was thinking it was some sort of cucumber/ slug
