One suggestion I do have may be useful for some other dive centre owners is as members of this forum to link each other (as well as the forum) on our link pages.

This will in some cases help with search engine rankings.

Also I have people from all over the world here on holiday and often get asked about how customers can continue their diving education in their own countries. I feel it would be great to have links and associations with other dive centres that are forum members from different areas in different countries to pass on their details to our customers.... times my be hard economically so why not help each other whenever we can!

I don't mind if you want to advertise your diving forum here, in fact I'd like to see it!

That's just my dive related stuff, I have a personal site and a couple of other business sites. I also look after a charity website.

The dive related forum is just for a small group of divers/friends for now. It's a little quiet there, I'm thinking of taking it over and promoting it myself. It's a VB based forum with a Joomla front-end, there's sign-in no bridge between the two yet, that's one of the mods I'd do is it was mine. I would also add some of the 100+ articles I have on my Atlantic Scuba site to it for extra content.

With regard to links I could add a link to a couple when I get time. I have so much to do at the mo, way behind with the charity site. Got more specialties/courses to add to my Atlantic Scuba site, I'm also replacing all the standard pics with my own as I get time.

All this and moving business premises at the same time as trying to earn a living from diving.

I've just updated my Online Nitrox page, I can now offer a Nitrox course for just £70.

we just started a website where you can log your dives online and share it with other persons. The public view shows far less data then your private view - but you can stay completely private as well. You also can connect to your buddies - but it is far more private than Facebook or other social networks. Only you can see your buddy list - and can use it to tag them in your online logbook.

One reason we did this: as an instructor I met quite a few people that lost their logbooks (happend to one of my logbooks as well a couple of years ago ) - if you log them online - cannot happen that easy. Of course you loose all the precious stamps and signatures - but at least you have your records.
