A lot of travel insurance companies seem to have depth limits of 15m or 30m. I can't see any limit on your site so is just a case of being qualified e.g. PADI OWD = 18m, AOWD = 30m and 40m if you've done the deep spec?

Also do you have any standard coverage for bungee jumping?

Hi!

Scubasure covers you to dive to whatever depth you are qualified for a set premiun - this makes us unique as most insurers specify depths and charge more for depths over 30m.

With regards to your other query are you simply looking for cover just for the bungee activity itself or travel cover to include bungee jumping?

I was looking at the annual multi trip.

Sorry I'm still confused. Will I have to phone up to get a depth set and pay an additional premium or can I just accept the online amount and dive within my qualified limits?

I was thinking about doing a bungee jump/ gorge swing on one of my trips (just a one off thing ) and was wondering if that sort of activity would be covered as it seems to very between companies again.

Cheers

Hi again!

The Scubasure policy covers you to dive to whatever depth you are qualified to dive to for a set premium. For example Joe Bloggs who is qualified to dive to 30m pays the same as John Smith who is qualified to dive to 45m. The premium doesn't vary and you are covered for any depth as long as you are QUALIFIED to dive to that depth. Hope that is all clear now.

With regards to the bungee jump - you're brave! I will have to check this with the underwriters to see if it would be covered. If not we have a policy through PJH called Adventures which covers you for specific activities and can be used as a bolt-on to travel insurance.

I will check if you would be covered through Scubasure and, if not, I can give you an 'Adventures' quote.

Thankyou Charlie, makes more sense now.

If you can let me know about the bungee. I should have said before it would be for a couple not single person if that makes any difference (yes 2 mad people).

No problem! I’m still waiting for the underwriters to come back about the bungee jumping but my feeling is that you would not be covered under the Scubasure policy - I will get you a definite answer ASAP.

In the meantime could you tell me where you would be doing the bungee jump (e.g. which country) and would you need cover for 1 day or would you plan to do jumps over more than one day? This way I can do you an Adventures quote. I would also need to know if you definitely plan to do bungee jumps as opposed to gorge swinging as they may require different cover.

Ah - just had a response from the underwriter, as I thought you would not be covered under Scubasure. I'll await your info so I can do an Adventures quote for you!

Hi Wookie, any more news on the above? If you would like an Adventures cover quote (for your bungee jumping) let me know.

I've taken out cover with you for the scuba, the bungee jumping has been ruled out for now. May be next year

Thank you for the help
