I'm going to Koh Tao (Sairee Beach)in a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend a dive company. Would love to dive with a whale shark. What dive site am I most likely to see them?

While I can't recommend them from personal experience (I've never been to Thailand), one of my friends used Big Blue Diving and had a really great time and no problems.

From my research, going south east to Rocky Bay or Thian Ok, you can snorkel late afternoon and see both whale sharks and black tip reef sharks.

Between April-May is the time you're most likely to see a whale shark in Thailand.

Thanks for that. It fits the time frame as well so hopefully we might get lucky with the whale sharks.

No problem, glad I could help. How would you feel on maybe writing up your experience in terms of a guide, so we can add to the diving in Thailand section when you come back?

Bull sharks were spotted at Chumporn Pinnacle in Feb, they were at the bottom though. Good dive sites around Koh Tai aren't as common as you might hope, but still not bad.
